About Me

Born and raised in Braddyville, Iowa (population 175 and about a 10 minute drive to the family farm), I grew up in a loving family of five and discovered sports and technology around 1985.

I continued in sports and technology through high school (4 sports, 2 state championships and a 56k baud modem) and into college (2 sports and a computer science degree).

After college, I lived in great places like Austin, Texas and Orlando, Florida before making my way to California where I learned to appreciate the lack of state income tax and reasonable housing prices back in Texas and Florida…

After living in San Diego for 9 years, I again call Austin “home,” have an absolutely amazing wife (Stephanie), a remarkable son (Maxwell), an energetic labradoodle (Lucy) and work for Rackspace as an Enterprise Solution Architect while, of course, still dabbling in athletics.
